CHRIS STANZEL
Chris' love for cars began at an early age. He first began working on cars as a teenager, even before he had a driver's license! At the age of 16 he rebuilt the engine in a 1972 Pontiac T37 Lemans. At twenty, he entirely rebuilt a 1974 Chevelle Laguna. His attention to detail and getting the job done right the first time can be seen in his workmanship today.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Chris received his ASE certification, completed his Transmission Specialist apprenticeship in the summer of 1990, and received his Transmission Technician license later that fall.
He worked for a major transmission repair shop in Ottawa for over 22 years, and in the winter of 2011 with the help and support of his wife Janet he began looking into opening his own shop.
Over the spring of 2011, after a lot of hard work and with the help of his wife, his two children, his father Arnie, and friends, he proudly opened the doors to his own business, "GEARHEADZ TRANSMISSION AND AUTOMOTIVE INC" on June 1, 2011.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Chris is a member of the Carleton Place Chamber of Commerce, and has coached minor hockey in Carleton Place for the entirety of his young son's hockey career. In 2009 he helped coach his son's Carleton Place Kings Atom A boys hockey team to win the Bell Capital Cup championship. A proud feat and a first for Carleton Place!
